Custom WordPress plugin
A business feature inside the WordPress admin: directory, bookings, members' area, technical catalogue, with its own screens and access rights.
A form that should feed your CRM, a shipping rule WooCommerce can't handle, a PrestaShop module that almost does the job. A developer writes the custom plugin, module or theme, at a fixed price. You see it working before you pay the balance.

In short
Blue Digital builds custom features for WordPress, WooCommerce and PrestaShop: plugins and modules, blocks for the editor, child themes, ERP or CRM connectors, shipping and payment rules. The code follows each platform's standards and uses the hooks they provide, without modifying the core. Fixed price, live demo before the balance, and you own the code.
On WordPress and PrestaShop alike, the temptation is to add a plugin for every need. The site slows down, updates become stressful, and sooner or later two modules contradict each other. Often, a few hundred lines of code written for you replace several plugins and do exactly what you want.

A few common requests on WordPress, WooCommerce and PrestaShop. Yours is different? Describe it and we will tell you whether it can be done, and how.
A business feature inside the WordPress admin: directory, bookings, members' area, technical catalogue, with its own screens and access rights.
Gutenberg blocks in your brand style (pricing tables, comparison grids, product sheets) that your team uses without touching code.
A new feature in the store or the back office, built on PrestaShop hooks, avoiding core overrides wherever possible.
Shipping costs by zone or weight, local carriers, cash on delivery with conditions, a local payment gateway, on WooCommerce or PrestaShop.
Orders, customers, stock and prices synced with Odoo or another tool, and forms that feed your CRM automatically.
Design changes without losing the parent theme's updates, or a lightweight theme written for your site, built for speed.
Scheduled import of supplier files, product combinations created automatically, price and stock updates, error reports.
Several overlapping plugins replaced by one lightweight module that does only what you need.
Custom development often touches the hosting, the database or the ERP. We know the platform and everything around it.
A fixed-price project: you know what will be delivered and what it costs before development starts.
A conversation with a developer, not a salesperson. Together we write down what the feature does, on which pages, for which users.
A fixed price and a timeline, set out in the quote according to the size of the work. A 10 to 15% deposit gets it started.
On a copy of your site, never in production. We show you progress and ask questions as we go.
The feature runs in front of you on the copy of the site: visitor journey, test order, admin. You approve it or we fix it.
Go-live after a backup, checks in real conditions, handover of the code and documentation. The balance is paid at that point.

Request a fix| Criterion | Blue Digital | Off-the-shelf plugin or module | Freelancer paid by the hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fits your site | Written from your specification | Designed for as many sites as possible | Yes, if the scope is well defined |
| Weight on the site | Only the code you need | Lots of unused options | Varies |
| Price | Fixed price agreed before work starts | Annual licence, then adjustments cost extra | Bill depends on time spent |
| Payment | 10 to 15% deposit, balance after a live demo | Paid before you can really try it | Often upfront or weekly |
| Source code | Handed over and documented, you own it | Vendor licence | Not always handed over cleanly |

WordPress and PrestaShop owe their success to their catalogues of plugins and modules. That is a strength when you want to launch quickly, and a weakness as the site grows: every plugin adds code, queries, scripts, and a vendor whose updates you have to follow.
Custom development turns that around. We start from what your site needs to do, and write only the code required. The result is lighter, faster, and you know exactly what is running on your site.
functions.php.Tell us the platform and version (WordPress with or without WooCommerce, PrestaShop 1.7, 8 or 9), the theme you use and what you want to achieve, in your own words. If a plugin already almost does the job, give us its name: adapting it sometimes costs less than writing everything from scratch.
We come back with specific questions, then a fixed-price quote. If your need can be met with a simple setting or a reliable existing plugin, we will tell you.
Question not listed? Ask it directly: a developer answers, not a call centre.
It depends on the scope: the number of screens, rules and tools to connect. The price is fixed in the quote, after the specification, and doesn't change unless the scope does.
It depends on the work. The timeline is set out in the quote, with the date of the live demo. An editor block is quicker than an ERP connector.
A 10 to 15% deposit when we start, then the balance after the live demo, once the work is approved and live.
Yes, through a child theme on WordPress or the mechanisms PrestaShop provides, so you keep the theme vendor's updates.
We use the hooks, actions and filters each platform provides, without touching the core, which greatly reduces the risk. For a major upgrade (moving to PrestaShop 9, for example), we check compatibility and quote any changes in advance.
Yes. We read the existing code, even undocumented, and tell you in writing what can be kept, fixed or rewritten, before quoting.
An admin account, SFTP or SSH access to the files and a copy of the database. We work on a copy of the site, never directly in production.
You do. The source code is handed over on delivery with its documentation. You can develop it further with us or with another provider.
A developer reads your request and calls you back within 2 business hours.
