Custom shipping rules
Shipping costs by zone, weight, volume or category, click and collect, delivery slots, local carriers with labels and tracking.
A shipping rule the standard can't handle, an ERP to connect, a marketplace extension that almost does the job. A Magento developer writes the custom module, at a fixed price. You see it working before you pay the balance.

In short
Blue Digital builds custom modules for Magento 2 Open Source and Adobe Commerce: shipping and pricing rules, payment methods, ERP and carrier connectors, B2B features, catalogue imports. Every module follows Magento standards (service contracts, plugins, declarative schema, unit tests) and ships as a Composer package. Fixed price, live demo before the balance, and you own the code.
Many Magento stores pile up purchased extensions and quick fixes: core class rewrites, raw SQL queries, logic hidden in the theme. Everything works until a Magento or PHP upgrade breaks the checkout. A well-built module adds the feature you need without weakening the rest of the store.

A few common requests. Yours isn't on the list? Describe it and we will tell you whether it can be done, and how.
Shipping costs by zone, weight, volume or category, click and collect, delivery slots, local carriers with labels and tracking.
Integration of a local payment gateway, cash on delivery with conditions, instalment payments, transaction reconciliation.
Orders, customers, stock and prices exchanged with Odoo or another ERP, via API or files, with a message queue and automatic retry on errors.
Negotiated prices per customer, restricted catalogues, trade account approval, quick order by SKU, online quotes.
Scheduled import of supplier files, configurable products created automatically, price and stock updates, error reports.
Discounts the standard rules can't express: bundles, loyalty tiers, product combinations, shown clearly in the cart.
A marketplace extension almost does the job: we extend it with plugins, without editing its code, so you keep the vendor's updates.
Order exports in your accounting or carrier format, sales reports the standard dashboard doesn't provide.
A Magento module often touches the ERP, the server or the cache. We know the store and everything around it.
A fixed-price project: you know what will be delivered, what it costs and when you will see the demo, before development starts.
A conversation with a Magento developer. Together we write down what the module does, where it fits in the store and which systems it talks to.
A fixed price and a timeline, set out in the quote according to the size of the module. A 10 to 15% deposit starts development.
On a development environment or a copy of your store, never in production. Code reviewed and checked with Magento's quality tools.
The module runs in front of you on the copy of your store: test order, admin panel, edge cases. You approve it or we fix it.
Deployment to production after a backup, checks in real conditions, handover of the code and documentation. The balance is paid at that point.

|---|---|---|---|
| Fits your store | Written from your specification | Designed for as many stores as possible | Yes, if the scope is well defined |
| Code quality | Magento standards, plugins, unit tests | Varies by vendor | Varies, sometimes core rewrites |
| Price | Fixed price agreed before work starts | Licence, then adjustments cost extra | Bill depends on time spent |
| Payment | 10 to 15% deposit, balance after a live demo | Paid before you can really try it | Often upfront or weekly |
| Source code | Handed over and documented, you own it | Vendor licence, sometimes encrypted code | Not always handed over cleanly |

The Magento marketplace offers a very wide choice of extensions, and for a common need that is often the right answer. But when your need is specific (a shipping rule tied to your logistics, a particular ERP, negotiated prices per customer), a generic extension forces compromises: options you don’t need, behaviour you can’t change, code you aren’t allowed to touch.
A custom module does exactly what you described, and nothing more. Less code means fewer conflicts with other extensions, a faster store and calmer upgrades.
Tell us your Magento version (Open Source or Adobe Commerce, 2.4.x), your theme (Luma, Hyvä or custom) and what you want the module to do. If an existing extension almost does the job, give us its name: extending it often costs less than rewriting everything.
We come back with specific questions, then a fixed-price quote. If your need can be met by configuring standard Magento, we will tell you.
Question not listed? Ask it directly: a developer answers, not a call centre.
It depends on the scope: the number of rules, admin screens and systems to connect. The price is fixed in the quote, after the specification, and doesn't change unless the scope does.
It depends on the module. The timeline is set out in the quote, with the date of the live demo. A shipping rule is quicker than a full ERP connector.
A 10 to 15% deposit when we start, then the balance after the live demo, once the module is approved and deployed to production.
Magento 1 has been unsupported since 2020: we don't build new modules for it, but we can help you move to Magento 2.
We use the extension points Magento provides (plugins, observers, service contracts) and never rewrite the core, which greatly reduces the risk. For a major upgrade, we check compatibility and quote any changes in advance.
Yes, by extending it rather than editing its files, so you keep the vendor's updates. If its code is encrypted or too closed, we tell you before quoting.
Access to the Git repository or the store's files, a copy of the database and server access for deployment. We develop on a copy, never directly in production.
You do. The source code is handed over as a Composer package, with its documentation and tests. You can develop it further with us or with another provider.
A developer reads your request and calls you back within 2 business hours.
